Kim Delaney is an American actress best known as the character the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she won the Emmy Award. She has also starred in shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the sole child from her mom who was a homemaker as well as a high-ranking executive of her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with her four brothers. When she was a kid, Delaney dreamed of becoming an official reporter for the court. She began modelling in high school and then gaining commercials when she moved from the south of England to New York. The role she was given was that of an innocent child in the 1981 soap-opera All My Children. Since then Delaney has been in a variety of films television movies and dramas. Delaney has not lived a good or satisfying personal life. She is talented and beautiful, has battled drinking prior to that. She has also had marriages that failed two times. In 2005, she lost the custody of her son.
