Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru, and mixed martial artist who is fighting for in the UFC for the Flyweight Division. She is an Kyrgyzstani. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and Former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and she also won a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold medal with gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia began her professional journey back in 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous titles including the K-1 World Champion, Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her superior striking abilities at the end of the fight by using knees on the body. Antonina was offered the UFC offer after her victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win via unanimous decision but lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko was 2-2 in her three subsequent matches which included a win over Ariane Lipski, while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
